What types of Low Pressure Hot Water Systems are there

There are a Number of hot water systems available on the market for Wood Stove & wood heater with Wet back units

These are the main 3 types we use in Australia

Type Style Option 1 

Low pressure hot water tank

This is the traditional large tank that is installed in the roof of your home

It is set up with a fixed Header Tank and a 3.6Kw electric element

The stove is set up as gravity feel

Type Style Option 2 

Low pressure tank with Mains Pressure Coil

A standard low pressure storage tank with fixed header tank - but this tank has a built in coil (manifold) for domestic hot water.

The coil is installed in the top of the tank and offers hot water at pressure - being either a Pump to Low Pressure system is where you have either mains pressure water supply or excellent pump pressure - the flow and return to the wood stove is still gravity Fed

Style Option 3

Mains pressure Storage tank with open vented coil - designed to give you more hot water under pressure; and radiators

The Mains Pressure supply is connected as with any standard domestic hot water service

The low presure open vented coil is used for hydronic heating panels

This Tank allows you to have the benifits of Mains pressure with any Wood Fired Boiler/Stove

The flow and return to the wood stove is still gravity Fed
